Meet Alex Henderson, our newest member of the Kano team. Alex was actually a previous member of the family back in 2016 as a Customer Care Agent. He couldn’t resist coming back as our latest Data Engineer. We are happy to have him back and he’s already doing amazing things.
Tell us about you
I love STEM, specifically physics, maths and computer science, and recently finished my Physics degree at Imperial College London. There are so many exciting things happening in STEM right now and I’m driven to learn as much as possible.
Why did you join Kano?
The mission of promoting STEM is one I believe in and because I enjoy/enjoyed working at Kano. Kano is full of like-minded clever people to learn from and grow professionally.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
Finishing my Physics degree at Imperial in the face of a lot of adversity, both in terms of health and wellbeing. But also in the context of the global pandemic that broke out during my studies.
If you could give your younger self 1 piece of advice, what would it be?
Focus on keeping your wellbeing in check; once that’s in place everything else will follow.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I’ve played classical guitar since I was a kid 🎸, finished the musical grades and I enjoy playing in small bands.
