Tell us about you (What drives you)
My name is Dani and I work in Customer Success. I’ve been at Kano for a little over 2 and a half years. I answer customer emails, pass along customer feedback, help to manage our Discord server, and more! I aim to ensure that our customers are happy and enjoy our products.
Tell us a fun fact about you
I love to sing and was part of my college’s Acappella group. I miss singing with other people and want to try to join a local group when it’s safe to meet up again.
Why did you join Kano?
Things just kind of fell into place! An after-school program I worked at ordered some Kano kits. I’ve always loved coding and computers, so it was great to discover Kano and see them making information about these subjects accessible.
Soon after this, I got a LinkedIn message from Kano about applying for a position in Customer Success. Apparently, they were recruiting and thought I’d be a good fit — they had no idea I already knew about them! I applied right away, got the position, and here I am.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
I was able to go to Japan in my junior year of college as part of a spring break trip that my major was hosting. For years, it was a dream of mine to visit Japan, and being able to travel there with people I knew who were just as excited was a great opportunity! I had such a fun time and definitely want to go back someday.
If you could give your younger self 1 piece of advice, what would it be?
Just be yourself!
What is the single most valuable thing you’ve ever learned?
My secret passion is…/ guilty pleasure
Watching TV shows and YouTube videos that showcase small apartments, tiny homes, and converted vans. Seeing makeovers or tours of these kinds of spaces is entertaining, partially because I live in a studio apartment and want ideas, but also because every small apartment, tiny home, and van is so unique.
People need to be very innovative with how space is utilized to make it a comfortable place to live that also reflects the style of the person living there.
