Tell us about you…
I'm 33 and originally from Essex (although I have never been to the Sugar Hut!).
I have just over 11 years of tech recruitment/talent acquisition experience, having worked in London for 5 years, before moving to NYC to help set up an office in 2015. I’ve been back in London now for the past 18 months and really enjoying being home (albeit a lockdown since I arrived!)
My role is to help Kano with some key tech hires and deliverables over the next 3 months. I will be working with the staff internally to help implement some key processes and overall make sure the business grows as you continue to onboard some amazing talent!
Tell us a fun fact about yourself?
I entered a hot dog eating contest in Coney Island, and finished in the last place.
What is your biggest fear?
I really don’t like spiders!
Why did you join Kano?
Kano’s mission and ethos are very much in line with the clients which I love partnering with. They have clear goals about when they need to be achieved, and the people I have met so far have all been amazing!
What is your proudest accomplishment?
Running the London Marathon for a great cause in 2010!
If you could give your younger self 1 piece of advice, what would it be?
Don’t take life too seriously and remember to enjoy every day.
What is the single most valuable thing you’ve ever learned?
Treat everyone with respect. This is key!
My secret passion is…
I really do love Manchester United. Very sad, I know haha.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
I have experienced ‘the ringing of the bell’ inside the New York Stock Exchange.
How do you think your colleagues will describe you in one year?
Hopefully that I had a positive impact on the business and have built solid, long term relationships with individuals and Kano.
