We are the Everett’s. We are a homeschooling family and live just outside of Kansas City. We have two kids and a dog.
The kids were extremely excited to get a Kano PC. When it arrived there were lots of screams and lots of jumping up and down. The kids were in awe when they opened the box and they were able to put the Kano together. They had so much fun!
At the moment the kids use the Kano PC for coding and research for homeschool. They find the Kano coding apps to be fascinating because they have no prior coding experience.
As the mom, I have not helped them with any coding on the Kano. My 10 yr old has learned everything on her own, and she helps my 8 yr old with the coding lessons. I like that it is something they can work on independently. It helps lighten my load.
We have been homeschooling for years, so honestly, not a lot has changed about our schooling. One struggle has been trying to find field trips to do. We are a part of two different homeschool groups and a lot of companies are not allowing field trip groups right now.
If we had to describe Kano in one word, it would be helpful.
