Tell us about you…
My name is Marcio, but everyone calls me Junior, even though I’m older than most of the kids at Kano.
I’m officially an eCommerce Manager, but help out with all things marketing, from emails to memes, to testing stuff on our many websites and beyond.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself?
I’m really into food DIY — things like making my own salamis, curing meat and fish, BBQ on a fire pit, pickling, that kind of stuff.
I also play in an industrial metal band with a singer who wears chaps with no trousers live.
What is your biggest fear?
That anything would happen to my kids.
Why did you join Kano?
I loved everything about it, from the product to the way they do things, and because they were launching Star Wars at the time. Big fan.
What is your proudest accomplishment?
Having two insanely bright kids who, sadly, know exactly how bright they are.
If you could give your younger self 1 piece of advice, what would it be?
Time DOES heal everything.
My secret passion is…
Luckily for me, all my passions are legal and not very secret. I like beer, meat and tattoos. I’m getting close to the point now where I have only one tattoo.
In the next 5 years, the biggest thing I want to achieve is…
Move out of London, it’s just too much of everything.
What is something most people don’t know about you?
Even though I’m originally from Brazil, I hate football.
How do you think your colleagues will describe you in one year?
‘Oh, he’s lost some weight!’
